From Portland to Tokyo: Our Studio Session Featured in Hollyway Magazine!
I am thrilled to announce that my recent photoshoot featuring the incredible Katrina Beiro has been officially published in Hollyway Magazine by Jenny Hollyway in Tokyo, Japan!

Here is a look behind the scenes at how we brought this international feature to life.
The Style & Wardrobe
Katrina is a true multi-talent and took complete creative control over her styling for this session:
- Hair & Makeup: Done entirely by Katrina herself.
- Jewelry: Curated from her own personal collection.
- Wardrobe: A sharp, sophisticated blazer, vest, and pants ensemble from MANGO at Macy's.
Behind the Lens: Studio & Gear Setup
We shot this session at my personal creative space in Portland, Oregon. Because it was freezing winter outside, the indoor studio allowed us to blast the industrial heaters to keep the talent warm, comfortable, and ready to pose.
To create the clean, editorial look, I utilized:
- Camera: Sony A7CR
- Lenses: Predominantly 50mm and 70-200mm focal lengths.
- Background: Savage Thunder Grey from B&H Photo.
- Lighting: Multiple Profoto off-camera flashes paired with umbrella reflectors.
Lighting Note: While I find umbrellas impractical outdoors due to the wind, an indoor studio is the perfect environment for them. The Profoto setup allowed me to maintain absolute, consistent lighting throughout the entire session.
