Who doesn’t love a gorgeous sunset? 🌅
In the Pacific Northwest, the challenge is freezing wind, ice-cold water, and unpredictable weather that can change last minute. Planning a sunset shoot is always hit-or-miss.
When I was younger, I could just text a friend and make magic happen on a whim. As an adult I plan everything out ahead of time but coordinating schedules with the PNW's weather is the biggest challenge.
I often try to schedule back up dates just in case the weather rains or doesn’t give us the vibe we wanted but this time, we completely lucked out. The stars truly aligned for us! Our shoot location was popular too. We saw a few other photographers and high school seniors.
Bonus: Somehow we managed to wrap up without a single mosquito bite! There were plenty of gnats and tiny flying bugs keeping us company, but it was definitely worth it.
